My busy winter season started out pretty simple with the TreadHead Garage Naked Christmas Cruise. After that is was a trip to the Good the Bad the Ugly. The warm temperatures made this trail, that is usually quite simple, a challenging trip to say the least. Even with half our group bailing, a few of us trudged on and made it to the falls with plenty of light left for the return trip.
A month after GBU it was off to Ruby Falls; again, warm temps made this adventure a challenge. There were more water crossings and they were a bit deeper than at GBU; between the conditions and the size of the group, our progress was slow…too slow to make it all the way to the falls. We had to turn-back just past the half-way point. This was my favourite trail yet, and I can’t wait to hit it again this winter!
Given that I was going to have a busy summer of wheeling, I decided to give Rubi a thorough inspection and a Nut ‘n’ Bolt proceedure as it’s called. I also did a few upgrades, but that’s a nother video…or two!
